'Cause man, this diet makes me pee a lot! Sorry to be so blunt, but it's true. Ok, I admit it: I already pee more than your average Joe, and now I'm even worse than that. I can't even tell you how much, but I can say it's more than I choose to count, if that gives an idea. I'm wondering if it's simply that I'm eating higher-water-content foods, or if this is part of the detox process (please let it be the latter, because it's super annoying!). Any ideas out there in wwwville?
Food:- 5 cups orange juice (ok, that would make average Joe pee too, but not all day long!)
- Smoothie: 6 bananas, 1/4 cup hemp seeds, handful of lettuce from the garden
- 4 fuyu persimmons, 1 asian pear

Oh, man! I pee so much! I know that healthy is between 8 and 12 times a day, but I'm like double that! I'm expecting it to go away eventually. :)
You too???!!! Yeah, it's only 9:00 and I've already been 3 times! Ugh! I'm probably right there with you, number-wise.
HAHA, yes! The worst for me is when I'm gorging on watermelon in the Summer; then I can't leave the house. Since I'm still in the transitioning phase, I really can't tell if this is something that will pass. I'm hoping yes! :D
I've read an answer from Dr. D. about this on his forum.
Basically, you are losing brine from all of those years of eating alt. AND as you lose fat, you'll also lose the water that was stored in your adipose tissue.
And the diet is high water content, too.
So, the answer is, you won't pee like a racehorse forever, but you will pee more than the average dehydrated SAD eater.

I don't pee very much AT ALL on this diet. In fact I peed more when eating a more transitional raw diet.
I eat a lot of juicy fruits, and consume quite a bit of water too I suppose.
I must pee about 8 times a day?
I don't think that is very much - but my pee is perfect non coloured. Or just stlightly.
I found pilates really helped as it strengthens my mid section and i think the muscles support my bladder so it doesn't feel weak? perhaps?
